DESCRIPTION

Ultra Anchor Set is a pourable, non-shrinking, fifteen-minute set anchoring cement. Ultra Anchor Set is a versatile all purpose anchoring cement that can be used for anchoring heavy machinery, architectural and industrial railings, roadway guard rails and banisters.

Ultra Anchor Set is a non shrink, hydraulic, expansion control cement.

Water should be added at the job site at a rate of approximately seventeen percent (17%) water to one hundred pounds of Ultra Anchor Set powder.  (That would be approximately two gallons and one quart of water to one hundred pounds of powder.)

This seventeen percent (17%) water mixture of Ultra Anchor Set gives a pourable durable anchoring or patching compound.

The Ultra Anchor Cement sets in ten to twenty minutes depending on weather conditions.  It expands as it sets and has compression strength higher than concrete (Three thousand pounds psi).  It has psi of greater than five thousand.

The butter like consistency of Ultra Anchor  Set allows the product to be poured into place thereby saving time and expense.

Ultra Anchor Set, due to its physical properties, makes it ideal for patching concrete floors and walkways.  It pours into place and needs no troweling or water curing.

Ultra Anchor Set can be used as a patch for floor or wall cracks in concrete and for caulking foundation wall voids.

Ultra Anchor Set can be used to anchor bolts, dowels, railings, reinforcing rods, ceramic fixtures, machinery and pipes in concrete.

Ultra Anchor Set can be used for grout for heavy machinery, structural columns, bearing plates and precast columns.  Its high compressive strength provides a firm bed for heavy-duty grout applications.

Drill holes in sound concrete (three thousand psi or more) wide enough to accept the head of the bolt and its washer.  Three times the bolts diameter should be a minimum for the diameter of the hole drilled.  The depth of the hole drilled should be at least eight times the diameter of the bolt.  Examples:  A one-inch diameter bolt should have an eight-inch hole depth drilled.  A quarter inch diameter bolt should have a two inch hole depth.  If the strength of the concrete is suspect, then drill the holes deeper than the above recommended amounts.

For added strength, mushroom the lower portion of the hole by tilting the drill from side to side while drilling.  Also, rough the side of the hole with a special tool which will increase the pull strength of the Ultra Anchor Set.  When the hole is completed, blow or vacuum out all the loose particles and dust in the hole. Prior to pouring the Ultra Anchor Set into the hole, dampen he sides of the hole with a swab.  This will insure a good dust free bonding surface.

Place anchor bolts, with washers attached, in the drilled holes.  Mix enough Ultra  Anchor  Set to fill the hole.  Example:  One pound of Ultra Anchor Set has a volume of 1.2 cubic inches.  Ten pounds of Ultra Anchor Set has a volume of twelve cubic inches or approximately six and one half ounces.  Note:  Multiply the length of the hole, in inches, times one half of the diameter of the bolt times one half the diameter of the bolt times 3.1416.  Then multiply this number by 0.554 and the answer will be the volume, in ounces, of Ultra Anchor Set to fill the hole.  Only use enough of the Ultra Anchor Set that can be placed in five minutes.  Mix with clean water to a pancake batter consistency in a small plastic bowl or suitable container.  Pour the hole about one quarter full with Ultra Anchor Set and work the bolt and washer up and down to eliminate any air packets.

Fill the balance of the hole with the Ultra Anchor Set.  In order to get the best even flow, pour from about six to twelve inches above the hole and to one side of the hole.  The Ultra Anchor Set will set hard in ten to twenty minutes.  Wait for one to one and one half hours before attaching the nut.  Ultra Anchor Cement compressive strength increases as it cures, therefore, allow a longer time when installing heavy machinery and other large applications.  Do not use Ultra Anchor Set to anchor bolts, etc in holes of less than two inches deep.  For cold weather applications use a heat blower to heat the hole before using the Ultra Anchor Set.  Do not add anti freeze solutions to the mix.  Store the Ultra Anchor Set powder in a clean, dry and warm place.

CLEAN UP

Clean all tools and equipment as soon as possible with water.  Cured material must be removed by mechanical means.

COVERAGE

One hundred pounds of Ultra Anchor Set powder mixed with two and half gallons of water will fill one cubic foot. The weight of the above mixture, once set, will not exceed one hundred twenty five pounds per cubic foot.

FOR BEST PERFORMANCE:

Do not use extra water (see spec.)
Do not apply or mix at temperatures below 40 F or above 90 F.
Slightly over fill the hole to prevent pounding water.
