Poor surface preparation is a major contributing factor of
many paint failures. No paint can be better than the
surface over which it is applied. Adhesion to any of
the following listed substances is poor causing separation
between surface and paint. Dust, dirt, grease, oil,
curing or parting compounds, wax, soap, or detergent. Surface
should be thoroughly cleaned by using professional type pressure
water cleaner. Visible cracks or holes should be caulked with
USP-440 FLEX-LOK PATCHING SEALANT. Loose paint or chalk
that does not rinse off should be sealed with USP-1144 MASONRY
PRIMER or USP-1000 ULTRAPAINT PRIMER before painting with
USP-3000.
Must be completely clean and dry, before
applying the first coat of paint. It is recommended
to wait at least one hour if you want to apply a second coat.
New concrete should be cured for thirty days before painting.
Must be completely clean, dry and flat; free from grease,
dirt, loose paint, fungus and any chalky condition before
painting. On previously painted surfaces one coat is
usually sufficient. Where the surface is in particularly
bad condition, two coats may be required. In which case
at least one hour should be allowed between coatings.Stir
contents of can carefully to a smooth consistency and apply
with brush, roller or spraying equipment. Clean brush,
roller or spraying equipment with soap and water after use.
20 – 30 minutes under average weather conditions.
Depending on the surface this product will cover 200 to 250
square feet per gallon.
