DESCRIPTION
USP-4200 Wet-Look Brick Paver Sealer is a clear high solid,
100% acrylic finish designed specially for brick pavers, concrete,
stamped concrete, *exposed aggregate, * chattahoochee, and
most masonry surfaces. It’s high gloss, crystal
clear finish provides an extremely durable, and protective
penetrating finishes that protects against from oil, grease,
fuels and other foreign matter. This modern sealant
is formulated to give that desire “Wet-Look” highlight
that enhances the appearance and colors of your paving bricks,
concrete, or stone surfaces. Wet-Look will not peel
off, scale, or yellow,
and its high resistance to weather, water and wear makes it
the ideal product to protect your investment.
SURFACE PREPARATION
All surfaces to be coated must be clean and free of moisture,
efflorescence, dirt, grease, oil, chalk, and mildew and any
other foreign matter.
• Oils, Grease, and Dirt: Scrub with TSP, detergent
and/or degreaser, rinse well.
• Mildew and Algae: Apply solution of 1 part bleach
to 3 quarts water, rinse well.
• Efflorescence (salts): Apply solution of 1 part
muriatic acid to 3 parts water, rinse well.
SEALED, PAINTED, OR WAXED SURFACES
To allow proper penetration of Wet-Look all sealers, paint,
etc. should be removed before its application.
Wet-Look is designed for use on uncoated surfaces or over
itself, however good results may be obtained when used over
similar solvent (Xylene, Toluene thinned) acrylic type coatings/sealers.
Before attempting to apply Wet-Look over and existing coating
check for the adhesion and compatibility by coating a small
test area. If lifting, wrinkling, excessive bubbling,
slow drying, or other undesirable conditions occur, the previous
coating must be completely removed.
BRICK PAVERS Follow all instructions
as noted above, paying particular
attention to efflorescence. Make certain joints are
filled with sand allowing
a minimum 1⁄4” recess between top of sand joint
and top
of brick.
STEEL FLOATED CONCRETE To allow proper
penetration of Wet-Look, concrete that
is shinny smooth should be etched with 1 part meiotic acid
to 3 parts water,
then rinse well with water.
CHATTAHOOCHEE, EXPOSED AGGREGATE Wet-Look
is excellent for concrete embedded
stone surfaces, however because of possible softening of epoxy,
Wet-Look is
not recommended for epoxy bonded stone surfaces.
COVERAGE RATE Covers approximately
125 to 200 sq. ft. per gallon. Coverage
depends on type and porosity of surface.
APPLICATION METHODS Apply with a medium
nap solvent resistant roller, brush
or sprayer.
CLEAN-UP: Clean tools with Xylene or Toluene.
DRYING TIME Tack free in 45 minutes, dry
in 4-6 hours. For best results allow
12 hours before foot traffic and 72 hours before auto traffic.
NON-SKID Sealed surfaces
may become slippery when wet, a non-skid additive such as
USP-8001 NON-SLIP may be added to help reduce slipping.
IMPORTANTS DO’S AND DON’T’S
• Surface must be completely dry for 24 hours before
application!
• Do not apply when temperature is below 50’F
or above 90”F
• Do not apply if rain is threatening.
• Do not thin.
• Avoid heavy build up of sealer.
• One coat is usually sufficient; however, if a second
coat is desired
allow a minimum of 12 hour between coats.
WARNING:
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
HARMFUL OR FATAL IF SWALLOWED
Keep away from heat, sparks and open flame. If swallowed,
do not induce vomiting. CALL PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATELY.
Avoid prolonged contact with skin and breathing of vapor or
spray mist. Close container after each use. Use
only with adequate ventilation.
LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY
Because Ultra System Products, Inc. has no control over proper
surface preparations or application methods the manufacturer
limits liability to replacement of product, or at its option
a refund of the material cost only. Ultra System Products,
Inc. shall not be liable for cost of labor, consequential
damage or remedies.
